If I rarely meet my own expectations, imagine the madness of trying to fulfill 100% of my partner’s expectations. Now, I may not be able to fulfill all wishes like a genie in a bottle but I can listen them, elaborate and use them to connect with each other. In this path of self-acceptance and acceptance of our wishes (especially when they disturb us or we do not coincide) we find love.
Sharing my desires (which are just that, desires) without the fear of being judged by accepting their fluctuation is necessary for an authentic life because the ego is dynamic: The things we want and that affirm ourselves can change but we always need to listen and be heard .
Love does not ensure that everything turns out well but it does ensure that there will be a higher desire to expect the better. Above that sea of good intentions we observe the bubbles of desire that appear. Perhaps many vanish along the way, others change course, a few make it to the surface and hopefully coincide.

Si pocas veces cumplo mis propias expectativas, imagina la locura de pretender llenar el 100% de las expectativas de mi pareja. Ahora, tal vez no pueda cumplir todos los deseos cual genio de la lámpara pero sí puedo escucharlos, ayudar a sacarlos de la mente, elaborarlos y conectar. Es en ese camino de autoaceptación y aceptación de los deseos nuestros y de la otra persona (sobre todo cuando nos inquietan o no coincidimos) encontramos amor.
Compartir mis deseos (que solo son eso, deseos) sin miedo a ser juzgado aceptando su fluctuación es necesario para una vida auténtica porque el ego es dinámico: Las cosas que queremos y sobre las cuales nos afirmamos pueden cambiar pero siempre necesitamos escuchar y ser escuchados.
El amor no asegura que todo resulte bien pero sí que habrá un deseo superior de “Tomarlo bien”. Sobre ese mar de buenas intenciones observamos las burbujas de deseo que aparecen. Tal vez muchas se desvanezcan en el camino, otras cambien de rumbo, unas pocas lleguen a superficie y en el mejor de los casos coincidan.
