Today I want to share a passage in 5 minutes that I adopted as a philosophy of life.The bible refers to “examining prophecies” but its usefulness can be extended:

“Prove all things, hold fast what is good.”
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (NKJV)

Examine everything

– It encourages me to always listen to all points of view.
– It motivates me to ask all the necessary questions.

Retain what is good

– It teaches me that I can appropriate everything positive.
– It reminds me of my freedom to exercise my own criteria.

Are we examining everything or just assuming things as they are? Do we expose ourselves to other points of view or only to those who agree with us? Do we have our own criteria or do we simply repeat what somebody told us? Have a good journey.

Examinar todo

– Me anima siempre a escuchar todos los puntos de vista.
– Me motiva a hacerme todas las preguntas necesarias.

Retener lo bueno

– Me enseña que puedo apropiarme de todo lo positivo.
– Me recuerda mi libertad para ejercer un criterio propio.

¿Estamos examinando todo o simplemente asumimos las cosas como se dan? ¿Nos exponemos a otros puntos de vista o solo a los que coinciden con nosotros? ¿Tenemos un criterio propio o simplemente repetimos lo que nos dicen? Buen viaje.
